WordPress Developer

You must have a solid understanding of HTML & CSS, JQuery, JavaScript & PHP.
Responsibilities
- Developing new websites in WordPress
- Supporting existing sites in WordPress, including regular managed updates
- Ensuring sites are secure and well maintained
- Supporting clients with issues and changes to sites
- Working with designers and SEO Executives and implementing required SEO changes.
- Taking a strong lead in technical implementation, improvements and development within the company
Key skill requirements
- A strong technical understanding of WordPress, CMS platforms and eCommerce
- WordPress – a deep understanding of the platform, creating custom themes, modifying themes, configuring plugins like WooCommerce.
- PHP – a solid knowledge of PHP.
- CSS – understanding how to control the layout of page and its contents using hand-coded CSS.
- HTML – the ability to hand-code HTML.
- JavaScript – the ability to hand-code JS.
- Understanding of the waterfall of a site and being able to implement changes to positively affect load speed.
- Solid process of debugging and improving efficiency on sites.
- Good understanding of server environments, LAMP, DNS.
