Description
The User Researcher will be part of a scrum delivery squad and responsible for completing UR tasks on a product backlog aligned to their squad. The team will be accountable for building accessible software with a focus on what users need from the service.
The UR will develop the User Research strategy and ensure the voice of the customer is present throughout product development. They will be responsible for the planning designing and execution of remote user research sessions with customers; and also involved in prototyping. This User Researcher will be expected to gather meaningful findings from research sessions before analysing and synthesising these into actionable insights and presenting findings and recommendations to senior decision-makers.
Working for a large central government department that has embarked on an enterprise wider digital transformation journey.
This role is aligned to one area within this government department and will support one or more projects tasked with delivering digital solutions following agile delivery principles methods.
We are partnering at a critical time with significant transformation projects already defined and underway and immediate priority is to supplement teams with deep expertise and skills spanning all roles within the Digital Data and Technology Profession Capability Framework.
About you
Experience of planning scoping conducting analysing and communicating research throughout the Agile product development life cycle. Experience of qualitative user research methods including usability testing ethnographic observation interviews surveys contextual inquiry and focus groups. Experience of working with Designers Product Owners Developers and other Researchers to prioritise research opportunities in a fast-paced rapidly changing environment. Able to demonstrate the ability to translate research findings into specific prioritized recommendations to improve product designs.
