Senior BIM Technician- Required for our client in Manchester who are just a 5-minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly Station. The BIM Technician will be working on a range of Building structures and Civils projects such as Historical and listed structures, System Build, Bridges and Infrastructure, Basements, Temporary Works Design, Construction Methodology Advice, Precast Concrete Detailing, Timber Engineering and many more.
The Ideal Technician will be a Senior Civil/ Structural Engineering Technician who will bring Extensive knowledge and expertise and be able to work across a number of projects. BIM management skills is essential for this role and the Technician will have good knowledge and experience of compliance with the duties of Designer under the CDM Regulations 2015.
Senior BIM Technician Position Overview
* Civil and Structural engineering BIM modelling
* Preparing and checking drawings.
* BIM model and/or setting out coordination with the appointed Architect
* Contribute to project deadline management
* Occasional visits to construction sites for survey/ inspection of works
* Compliance with the duties of Designer under the CDM Regulations 2015
* Compliance with the Practice QMS.
* Assist with the training of BIM Technicians and Trainee BIM Technicians within the Practice
* Coordinate Technician resources with the Studio.
* Prepare weekly drawing resource schedule in conjunction with Associate(s)
* Liaise and review production of information with Engineers on a project-by project basis
Senior BIM Technician Position Requirements
* HNC or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering
* 6 Years + Experience within a design office
* BIM modelling experience using Revit and/or Autocad
* Strong graphical communication
* Strong IT and software skills
* Knowledge and understanding of the CDM Regulations 2015
