Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Greenwich, South East London
Start Date: Easter 2026
Pay: 100 – 115 per day
Veritas Education is delighted to be working in partnership with a well-regarded independent primary school in Greenwich to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant for an Easter 2026 start.
This school is known for its high academic standards, small class sizes, and nurturing environment, with a strong emphasis on both academic achievement and pupil wellbeing. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher, providing 1:1 and small group support to help pupils stay engaged and reach their full potential.
This role would suit a patient, proactive and caring individual who is passionate about supporting children in a structured and supportive school setting.
The Ideal Primary Teaching Assistant Will Have:
Experience supporting children in a primary school setting
A good understanding of strategies to support learning, communication and behaviour
A calm, nurturing and resilient approach
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Main Responsibilities Include:
Delivering targeted 1:1 and small group support
Assisting the class teacher with differentiated activities
Supporting pupils’ social, emotional and academic development
Using creative and engaging approaches to enhance learning
Monitoring progress and providing feedback to the class teacher
Helping to maintain a positive, structured and inclusive environment
