Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Croydon, South East London
Start Date: Easter 2026
Pay: 100 – 115 per day
Veritas Education is excited to partner with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Croydon to recruit a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team after the Easter break.
This OFSTED-rated ‘Good’ school is known for its supportive and nurturing environment, placing a strong emphasis on pupils’ academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and personal development. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO, providing both 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop positive relationships.
This role is ideal for a patient, proactive, and empathetic individual who is passionate about supporting children – including those with additional needs – to thrive in a primary school setting.
The Ideal Primary Teaching Assistant Will Have:
Proven experience supporting children in a primary school environment
Knowledge of strategies to support learning, communication, and behaviour
A calm, caring, and resilient approach, particularly when supporting pupils with additional needs
Main Responsibilities Include:
Delivering personalised 1:1 and small-group interventions
Supporting the class teacher with differentiated learning activities
Promoting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
