Urgent Contract Business Analyst

MUST have Financial Services/ Insurance & ideally Mortgage experience

Fully remote & outside IR35

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with a strong understanding of infrastructure design and IT engineering. The successful candidate will combine technical agility with commercial awareness to support the delivery of mission-critical solutions within the Financial Services sector, with a particular emphasis on speed to market and business value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead requirements gathering and analysis for infrastructure and technology initiatives.

• Work closely with technical teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and solution designs.

• Conduct GAP analysis, identify improvement opportunities, and support end-to-end solution mapping.

• Simplify complex technical and business challenges into well-structured documentation and recommendations.

• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder sessions to elicit detailed business and functional requirements.

• Collaborate across multi-disciplined and geographically dispersed teams to ensure alignment and delivery success.

• Support project managers and engineers throughout the delivery lifecycle, ensuring requirements traceability and solution integrity.

• Influence key stakeholders and negotiate priorities to achieve optimal business outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Extensive experience as a Business Analyst within Financial Services or other regulated industries.

• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems engineering, and solution design principles.

• Proven track record supporting mission-critical or high-availability systems.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and process mapping skills.

• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary, multi-location teams.

• Commercially aware with a focus on delivering rapid, high-impact solutions.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience working with cloud or hybrid infrastructure projects (e.g., AWS, Azure).

• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.

• Exposure to ITIL or enterprise service management processes.

• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in financial services.
