Overview

We are seeking an experienced BMS Design Engineer to support the delivery of high-profile, technically complex projects within a fast-growing and dynamic environment. This role will focus on the development and delivery of RIBA Stage 3-5 designs for Building Management Systems (BMS) and associated network infrastructure.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering outputs, collaborating with global teams, and acting as a trusted technical advisor to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for all BMS design activities on assigned projects
• Lead client meetings and technical workshops to drive project deliverables
• Produce RIBA Stage 3-5 design documentation, including:
  • Network architectures
  • Points schedules
  • Sequence of operations
• Coordinate design information and resolve technical queries to ensure timely delivery
• Identify and manage scope changes, including impact assessments
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to support software and graphics delivery
• Ensure alignment with project timelines and milestones
• Conduct peer reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards
• Provide regular progress updates and reporting to stakeholders
• Support global engineering teams and assist with workload distribution where required

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience delivering BMS design across RIBA Stages 3-5
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Network architectures
  • Points schedules
  • Sequence of operations
• Experience working with EcoStruxure or similar BMS platforms
• Solid understanding of integrating third-party systems into BMS environments
• Excellent communication skills with experience working across international teams

Desirable Experience

• Background in data centres or other mission-critical environments
• Knowledge of PLC controls and SCADA systems (e.g. Wonderware System Platform)
• Degree or diploma in a relevant engineering discipline
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in BMS design engineering
