Job Title: Azure Solution Architect

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Azure Solution Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be a presales professional responsible for developing solutions to support cloud-native Microsoft Azure Application Modernization and Data Modernization. This role combines technical leadership with solution design expertise, emphasising apps, data platforms, analytics, and integration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements, challenges, and goals related to application and data modernisation, including automation and AI initiatives.
• Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions leveraging Microsoft’s Azure platform and cloud services.
• Ensure solutions align with industry best practices and adhere to relevant standards and regulations.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams throughout the solution life cycle, from ideation to implementation and ongoing support.
• Outline solutions including diagrams, team member work estimates, timelines, and costs.
• Manage solution roadmap, planning, estimation, and initial delivery efforts through assessment and recommendations.
• Participate in RFx responses and develop strategies to expand business within our Azure practice.
• Work with Sales and Contract teams to ensure proposed solutions are accurately translated into contracts.
• Collaborate with account executives to provide technical sales support to close deals.
• Coordinate with delivery teams on project team assignments to meet customer needs.
• Present case studies to customers on delivered work.
• Determine if services fit customer requirements and direct them to appropriate consulting practices.
• Contribute to opportunity pursuits in landing, expanding, and protecting business across verticals.
• Collaborate with practices on the evolution of service offerings and presales materials.
• Ensure smooth turnover from sales to delivery, managing expectations, schedules, and ramp-up time frames.
• Maintain relationship management and conduct status checks with clients.
• Act as a technology consultant, providing advisory and thought leadership support.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in information technology and/or IT professional services.
• 5+ years in client-facing presales roles developing new business.
• Hands-on experience in solution design and development with cloud-native architectures, microservices, containerisation, and DevOps practices.
• Deep expertise in the Microsoft Azure platform, including application migration and development, GitHub, Azure DevOps, SQL Server, and Azure Data Services.
• experience with Front End application development using SQL and Azure AI tools.
• experience in AI technologies applied to software development and business applications.
• Strong writing and client-facing communication skills.
• experience with various technology platforms, application architecture, design, and delivery.
• Software or services pre-sales experience with a dynamic personality.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to develop business cases and gather business requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure AI Engineer Associate or similar preferred.
• experience in engagement management and project management with full application development life cycle using multiple methodologies (AGILE/SCRUM, RUP, Waterfall, etc.).
• experience developing project estimations, planning, and scheduling.
• experience administering client professional services agreements, including change management.
• Strong drive to remain current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in application and data modernisation, including AI domains.
• Ability to travel to client locations as needed.
