The Role
We have an exciting new opportunity for a SRO Design & Build Manager to join Robert Walters as a Consultant.

As a Consultant, you will benefit from permanent employment with Robert Walters and will be deployed on an assignment within our clients’ organisations, in return we will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills with ongoing training and professional support.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the development, refinement, and governance of the website UI kit, creating reusable components, templates, and guidance for content editors and teams.
• Collaborate closely with developers, CMS teams, brand managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the design system meets product and business requirements.
• Use qualitative and quantitative data to identify pain points and opportunities across the user journey, applying insights to optimize design decisions.
• Ensure accessibility and inclusivity across all designs, meeting WCAG standards.
• Translate research and insights into actionable initiatives, prioritizing features that deliver maximum user impact.
• Contribute to a long-term roadmap for website optimization, accessibility compliance, and scalable template creation.

What You Bring

• 10+ years in UX/UI roles, with at least 3 years focused on design systems.
• Proven experience building comprehensive UI kits and templates from foundational systems.
• Expert in Figma, design tokens, and scalable component systems.
• Experience in regulated or sensitive environments, with strong knowledge of WCAG and inclusive design.
• Ability to manage stakeholders effectively and influence cross-functional teams.
• Strategic thinker who balances brand, user needs, and technical constraints.
