Quantity Surveyor – Design Office (Central London)
400- 450 per day (Outside IR35) 6-Month Contract Hybrid / Office-Based Role
I am working with a leading infrastructure contractor who is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support their design office team in Central London. This role will focus on preliminary design costs, cost planning and early-stage commercial input across a high-profile programme.
This is an excellent opportunity for a QS who enjoys front-end project work, cost intelligence and working closely with design and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce, review and develop preliminary design cost estimates
- Support value engineering and cost benchmarking activities
- Work closely with designers, planners and commercial leads to influence outcomes
- Monitor cost movement throughout design stages
- Support commercial governance, reporting and forecasting activities
- Contribute to risk and change identification discussions
What We’re Looking For:
- Solid experience as a QS, ideally within infrastructure or major projects
- Strong NEC contract understanding – essential
- Experience working in early-stage/pre-construction environments desirable
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder skills
- Ability to work proactively with multi-disciplinary teams
Contract & Package:
- 400- 450 per day, depending on experience
- Outside IR35
- 6-month initial contract, with potential to extend
- Based at the Central London design office (hybrid working)
