Overview:
My client, one of the UK’s most exciting and fastest growing IT Services organisations is seeking a skilled ServiceNow Discovery Engineer with hands-on experience configuring event-driven discovery for AWS environments.

The initial project the candidate will be placed on (projected to last several years) will be with a major internationally operating Financial Services organisation to utilise their skills on a large-scaled ServiceNow AWS integration.

The ideal candidate will have strong JavaScript development skills, particularly in ServiceNow Business Rules, Script Includes, and custom Server Side Scripting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and fine-tune event-driven AWS resource discovery using ServiceNow Discovery and MID Servers.
• Design, implement, and support custom probes, sensors, and patterns tailored for dynamic cloud environments.
• Develop and debug JavaScript-based business rules, script includes, and workflow scripts within the ServiceNow platform.
• Partner with cloud and infrastructure teams to maintain accurate and up-to-date CMDB records.
• Track and enhance the performance of ServiceNow Discovery and optimize ECC Queue processing.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with ServiceNow Discovery, especially in AWS environments.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript within the ServiceNow platform.
• Familiarity with CMDB architecture, event-driven automation, and MID Server configuration.
• Experience with AWS servicesand cloud resource modelling.
• Ability to analyze Discovery logs and optimize probe/sensor performance
