They are looking for a talented WordPress Developer to join our team and contribute to our growing portfolio of projects, with the opportunity to take lead on projects and progress to becoming head of Development.

Job Overview:As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving WordPress websites for our clients. You’ll work closely with our design and development teams to turn concepts into engaging, user-friendly websites. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills, a keen eye for design, and experience in creating custom themes and plugins.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance WordPress websites, ensuring they are responsive, fast-loading, and secure.
  • Build custom themes and plugins tailored to specific project requirements.
  • Collaborate with designers to implement website layouts and designs accurately.
  • Optimize websites for SEO, performance, and accessibility.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and performance problems.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in WordPress development and web standards.
  • Work with the team to estimate project timelines and manage client expectations.
  • Conduct regular website maintenance and updates as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio of WordPress websites.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Strong understanding of front-end and back-end development.
  • Experience with creating custom WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Familiarity with popular page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or Beaver Builder.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices, website speed optimization, and performance testing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with good communication skills.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as WooCommerce is a plus.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with other content management systems (CMS) and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and integrations.
  • Experience with UI/UX principles and design tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and website performance tracking tools.
