One to One are currently working with an Essex based design agency for the hire of a skilled Web Developer to join their team of savvy creatives to help build memorable solutions for their clients. We are looking for a creative and talented web developer who will work closely with in-house designers to deliver excellent results on website projects. This is a full time, permanent opening based in Leigh on Sea.
Technical skills required for this role include:
- Expert knowledge of CSS (SCSS), JS, HTML and Java script
- Experience building a custom WordPress Site from scratch
- Exposure to modern development workflows (Package Management (NPM), Module Bundlers (Webpack), Compilers (Babel)
- Experience communicating with clients
- Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility, testing, and responsive design
- Understanding of PHP
- Good coding practices
- Version Control (GIT)
- Understanding of web hosting and deployment
- Experience with JS frameworks like React, Angular, etc.
- Knowledge of SQL, MySQL
- Experience working with APIs
- Experience working with a headless CMS and the JAM stack
- Experience with Gatbsy.js
- Experience with Tailwind CSS and Blades templating language
- Experience with WooCommerce
- Basic on-page SEO best practices
We are looking for “pixel perfect” attention to detail… a creative who is willing to learn and loves being part of a team. Your day to day will include developing websites from supplied designs with custom WordPress themes, working in conjunction with team members to specify, quote and develop sites, manage, amend and maintain existing client websites, deploy websites and help manage domain transfers, manage and work with a diverse range of sectors, communicating with clients via the telephone and face to face. Design skills would be hugely advantageous for this role.
