Purpose of the job

Seeking a Web Developer to cover maternity leave. You will provide user experience for websites and associated platforms for my client. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to drive the continued growth of E-commerce, integrate with supporting systems and develop on internal systems.

Duties and responsibilities

• At least 2 years’ experience working on a commercial eCommerce system & associated platforms.

• Working with our outsourced developers/designers to maintain and deliver a Magento 2 solution whilst testing and supporting new extensions and solutions.

• Maintenance and management of the Magento 2 site.

• Focus on improving areas of current setup including mobile platform, search and UX.

• Work to deliver website solutions that provide a meaningful and consistent flow.

• Build a product roadmap, creating appropriate business cases to drive product enhancement.

• Utilise Agility PIM System.

• Work alongside outsourced teams on other platforms for the business such as the LMS.

• Support IT Manager when required.

The Successful Applicant

• Proven development experience with Magento with excellent Front End skills in PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript

• Skilled at turning business requirements into technical software solutions

• Capable of building development standards.

• Back End PHP and MySQL development capability

• Restful APIs

• LAMP server administration

• Responsive website development

• An ability to learn quickly and adapt to new software systems

• Understanding of website security

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6-12 months
