My client is an exciting high growth Technology business within the e-commerce software sector, with a focus on proving a POS system to independent retailers within the Cycle, Equestrian, Lifestyle, fashion and Outdoor sectors.

Alongside the software products, my client also offers Digital Marketing Services such as managed Google Shopping Campaigns, Email Newsletters, Email Automations and On-going Design Services delivered by their very own design team based in the Manchester Offices.

Due to growth, they are looking for a Web Designer to join the creative team. If you have a naturally creative mind and flair, an eye for detail, and enjoy working in a team, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

Key responsibilities:

• Website Design and Development: Communicate effectively with customers to design and build high-quality e-commerce websites within agreed timeframes
• Ongoing Design Work: Undertake recurring web design tasks for key clients, ensuring high specifications and adherence to timescales
• Customer Support: Respond promptly to web-related queries from the support team, ensuring efficient and effective resolution, and complete design fix tickets

Essential skills and Qualities:

• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrable experience with CSS, semantic HTML, and JavaScript, with a strong understanding of accessible web standards
• Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail
• Communication: Excellent communication skills and time management
• Creativity: Artistic flair and a keen eye for creating bespoke high-end designs

Beneficial:

• Familiarity with Version Control and Modern JavaScript Frameworks: Experience with Git for version control. While we use Vue.js, knowledge of similar JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React is also valuable
• Commercial Awareness: Ability to make informed commercial decisions on a project-by-project basis and offer additional services when relevant to customer requirements
• Innovation: A desire to improve, innovate, and work with new technological advancements
