Recognising this; they are embarking on a an extremely large Digital transformation programme across the business that will truly revolutionise how they work and their offering to their huge customer base – meaning that this couldn’t be a busier or more exciting time to join them.And this is where you come in.What will you do?So I’m looking for a seasoned UX/UI Manager to join them and add a little hierarchy into the team – leading both projects and people from the very front. This is a truly hands-off role where I am looking for somebody who is from UX/UI Design background, but who now who thrives in a role that is purely leadership and management focused. Later down the line there might be some scope to get back hands-on, but for the foreseeable future this role will be all about your ability to manage the team and get the best out of your staff.You pride yourself being a respected, inspirational manager and you know exactly how to get the absolute BEST out of your teams. Although you have moved away from cutting-code you still like to keep close to the tech under your remit and you’re passionate about best-practice and delivering top-notch calibre software. Now, your focus is on building, leading and inspiring a team of UI Designers – knowing how to get the best out of them and delivering projects flawlessly.You will lead their in-house design team and influence the beautifully on-brand, user-centred design of their digital experience. This role is absolutely key to their Digital strategy and I am therefore looking for someone who knows exactly how to deliver their UI strategy in the right way! Naturally, you’ll come from a hands-on UX/UI background and have proven knowledge of key UX/UI design principles and a passion for creating beautiful, scalable interfaces for both web and mobile.What’s it like to work here?Well. Candidates will be working four days/week in their state-of-the-art offices in North Derby. This being said, you will also be given the option to work condensed hours and work a nine-day fortnight.
