Do you have basic programming skills with experience of using Visual Basics 6? We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Software Developer to work for a leading printing company based in South Shields.This is a permanent role working 8:00am to 4:30pm with an hour for lunch and a salary of up to £25,000 per annum depending on experienceAs a Trainee Software Developer, you will be assisting the Senior Software Developer with the designs of a range of print-ready products, including direct mail, promotional games for newspapers, scratch cards and breakopens for various lithographic and digital print machines.You will be responsible for planning programme code, enhancements and changes. In addition, you will also be assisting with other duties such a PC set up which will include programming.We are keen to hear from candidates who are working towards, or have, relevant qualifications who can work in a logical, methodical manner to assist in any error checking and debugging of coding. Experience with Quadient Inspire Designer Software, MSSQL Server databases, Crystal Reports is desirable but not essential as training is provided.
