PHP/Laravel Developer

  • Salary: 50,000 per annum
  • Work Arrangement: 4 Days Onsite, 1 Day Remote

Role Overview:

IT Talent is on the hunt for an experienced Software Engineer with a strong focus on PHP and Laravel, complemented by React skills, to join our prestigious financial client based in Central London. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 plus years of experience and a passion for developing and maintaining robust web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain web applications using the Laravel PHP framework.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to understand project requirements.
  • Design and implement efficient database schemas and models.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and debug web applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Integrate third-party services and APIs as necessary.
  • Stay current with Laravel updates and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and adhere to coding standards.
  • Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Maintain and update existing web applications as required.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients and end-users.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to suggest improvements and enhancements.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Laravel Developer with 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience.
  • Strong understanding of PHP, MySQL, and web development technologies.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge of Front End frameworks, especially React (Vue.js is also a plus).
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices (AWS) and server management is an advantage.
  • Certification in Laravel or related technologies is a plus.
