About the Role:

My client, a pioneering game development company, is seeking a skilled Network Programmer to join their innovative team in London. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to the creation of robust and scalable network systems for immersive gaming experiences.

Network Programmer: Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network systems and protocols for multiplayer and online gaming.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and other programmers to integrate network features and ensure seamless connectivity.
• Optimize network performance to achieve low latency and high reliability across multiple platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues to ensure a smooth and engaging gameplay experience.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in network programming to continuously improve network solutions.

Network Programmer: Experience and Qualifications Required:

• Proven experience as a Network Programmer in the gaming industry.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and experience with network APIs and protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and WebSocket.
• Solid understanding of network architecture, client-server models, and synchronization techniques.
• Experience with game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
