Typically involved in designs and deliveries for our customers. May participate in new projects or collaborate with bid teams to provide responses to customers. As a practitioner, expected to take ownership of complex areas of large solutions or the entire solution itself.

Requirements

• UK Resource: SC Cleared (or capable of obtaining SC Clearance).
• Occasional travel to customer site in Derby for face-to-face meetings.
• Design lead for complex projects across multiple technology areas.
• Willingness to explore and learn new technologies/products, specifically Rackspace managed Compute and associated products.
• Excellent documentation skills.

Technologies/Products and Technical Skills

• Design & Implementation: Cisco WAN/LAN.
• Cisco Switching & Routing: BGP & OSPF.
• Tunnel Technologies: GRE & IPSec.
• Specific Platforms: Ideally Cisco 8000v, 9500, 8300 & 8500.
• Network Virtualisation and Cloud Networking.

Additional Knowledge/Understanding (Ideal)

• Security Architectures: For enterprise secure internet access.
• F5: For Remote Access, DNS, and Web Application Firewall.
• Palo Alto: For Firewall & VPN.
• Thales: Hardware Security Modules.

Desired (But Not Essential)

• Rackspace.
