LONDON BOROUGH OF LAMBETH-6

PO4: Starting salary £43,356 per annum

Fixed Term Contract or Secondment Opportunity to Cover Maternity Leave until 31 March 2023.

We have an opportunity for an experienced communications professional to join the Lambeth Together health and care partnership, providing maternity cover until 31 March 2023.

In Lambeth Together, the NHS, local authority, the voluntary sector and others collaborate to improve health and wellbeing, deliver seamless and personalised health and care support, and reduce inequalities in health. As a local care partnership of southeast London s integrated care system, our focus is on our borough and its neighbourhoods and communities.

We are looking for a talented communications all-rounder to raise the profile of our work and to promote the benefits of partnerships for health and care. You will work with our leadership and programmes to deliver a comprehensive and high-quality communications function spanning digital, content, campaigns, media, PR and stakeholder relationships.

Your excellent writing and editorial skills will come with the ability to distil the essentials from complex information to deliver high-quality communications with an impact to diverse audiences. You ll have a sound grasp of digital communications to manage the Lambeth Together website (WordPress) and social media channels and to maximise their reach and usefulness. You ll be confident in briefing and working with designers, photographers, animators and videographers to create quality assets that tell our story. And you ll have the ability to develop and maintain productive links with partners and stakeholders.

If you enjoy using your initiative, developing new ideas, and managing your own workload as part of a team; if you can demonstrate a sound understanding of the health and social care environment, are committed to best practice communications to support equality, diversity and inclusion; and have relevant experience to deliver creative communications with an impact in this complex arena, we would love to have you join us.

This post is hosted by Lambeth Council, who jointly fund and manage this role along with NHS South East London. The post is offered as a fixed term contract or could potentially be accommodated as a secondment. Much of the work will be done from home but some travel to our Brixton office base and other locations in Lambeth will be required.

For an informal conversation about this role please contact: Catherine Flynn or Paul Bates
