Role: Graphic Designer/Artworker/3D Design

Location: Glasgow

Full Time and Permanent

Salary: circa £35,000 per annum

I am working exclusively with a business who is heavily involved in conference and exhibition attendance providing high quality studio design, custom construction, print graphics, AV hire, and event management. A UK based business – working worldwide.

Specialising in creating and providing high quality exhibition pavilions that ‘stand‘ out from the crowd.

They are now in need for a Graphic Designer/Artworker who can offer flair & creativity in their work. You will be involved in technical drawings providing artwork ideas that ‘Show off ‘& ‘Stand out’.

Examples of some of the events: Major annual sporting events, Food Fairs, Airshows, Technology conferences, International Expo’s, Games conferences, Offshore, etc. etc. etc.

With their studio based in Glasgow, it’s easy to commute by public transport links, however the business does offer free parking should you drive.

The key responsibilities here are:

  • Artwork Production: Take full responsibility for all aspects of artwork production. This includes establishing dimensions and specifications, setting and meeting print deadlines, chasing content, setting for print, and proofing.
  • Concept and Design Development: Develop concepts, graphics, and layouts for various exhibition stand projects. Creatively interpret briefs to produce engaging and effective designs. Effective use of 3D design.
  • Scale Drawing Interpretation: Ability to understand, interpret and create accurate scale drawings of exhibition stands.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with colleagues, clients, and their partners to take briefs and ensure that project requirements are fully understood and met. Collaborate with their manufacturing team and or clients to ensure deadlines are met and specifications are adhered to.
  • Supplier Liaison: Work with print suppliers to negotiate the best rates and ensure the quality of the final product.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all designs meet the high standards of all Exhibitions and Events and are delivered on time.

What we need from you:

  • Experience in artwork creation for large-scale exhibition graphics
  • Strong knowledge and experience in 3D and/or CAD software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively take briefs and collaborate with teams
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • A creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative design concepts
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
