Lead Graphic Designer – Role within the Marketing team
Hybrid role with Occassional Travel to our Head Office in Kettering as and when required
Trading since 1989, we’re the UK’s largest provider of property risk expertise and residential surveying services. To put it into numbers, we complete more than one property inspection every 12 seconds and employ over 600 surveyors from Land’s End to John O’Groats. This gives us the flexibility to offer nationwide coverage combined with invaluable local knowledge.
We have an outstanding opportunity for a talented and experienced Lead Graphic Designer to steer and advance our design capabilities. From strategic thinking, conceptualising, and crafting, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving campaigns from concept through to delivery across multiple platforms and media.
As a Lead Graphic Designer, you will have at least 5 years’ experience in design, showcasing a portfolio that demonstrates your creative thinking as well as your attention to the finer details of design, layout and art direction. You will possess the ability to elevate brand identity and enhance user engagement. Additionally, you will have a deep understanding of design principles and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver innovative design solutions. With your creative flair, you’ll introduce fresh, innovative design concepts and a user-centred approach to enrich our customer experiences.
Main Accountabilities:
- Oversee all aspects of design projects, from conception to delivery
- Design outstanding omni-channel solutions and ensure brand consistency throughout all brand touchpoints from print to digital, including advertising, branding, website, email/letter comms and more
- Strategic thinking adding insight to execution
- Translate our brand strategy into powerful and purposeful creative concepts.
- Manage and evolve our brand guidelines and design systems
- Act as a guardian of the brand guidelines ensuring all visual assets follow the brand standards
- Manage agency and support other members of the team when liaising/briefing external specialists if needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality design work on time and on brief
- Inspire the team – stay up-to-date with design trends, promote new ideas and techniques, share inspiration in an engaging way and set an example for others
Essential and Technical Skills required:
- Proven work experience as a Graphic Designer working across multiple platforms and media
- An outstanding portfolio of published work spanning different channels, from print to digital, including advertising, branding, website and social media
- Hands-on experience creating and evolving a brand visual identity, style guide and design system. Including working with re-usable components
- Proficient in Figma, the Adobe Creative Suite and other design software
- A deep understanding of design principles, UX/UI, behavioural design, information architecture and best practices across print and digital
- Degree level experience in Design, Visual Arts or relevant fields
