The Tutor Trust
Job Description – Digital Product Manager
We are looking for a Digital Product Manager to lead on the exciting next phase of Tutor Trust s digital development, a project for which we have already secured significant funding.
We are an innovative, growing education charity whose mission is to transform lives through tutoring. We partner with primary and secondary schools across Greater Manchester, Leeds-Bradford and Merseyside to provide inspirational tutors to those children and young people who would otherwise be unlikely to benefit from personalized support – those from low-income families, those who are Looked After, and those attending Alternative Provision or at risk of exclusion. We have gold-standard evidence that our model works, with a large-scale Randomised Control Trial demonstrating that pupils receiving tutoring made three months additional progress compared with a matched control group.
This is an exciting time to join Tutor Trust; we have doubled in size over the past three years, and currently work with around 6,500 pupils a year. We plan to continue our rapid expansion, and aim to double again the number of pupils we serve to 13,000 per year by 2025.
Digital development is key to our future growth, and, having invested in our CRM over the past two years, we are delighted to have recently secured a further two-year funding grant to drive our digital strategy forwards. We want firstly to create an inspiring website that showcases our impact to prospective schools and tutors, and then to develop new digital platforms for our tutors and tutees that add impact outside of the tutoring sessions.
We have a broad roadmap, and funding in place, but are looking for the right person to lead on the scoping, design and development of our digital products, working with external development teams to bring them from concept to reality.
If you are an experienced UX Designer or Product Manager who wants to bring their existing skills to lead on an exciting project for a growing charity working with children and young people, we d love to hear from you!
