Job Description

Spectrum IT’s Southampton client is seeking a Contract Digital Product Owner to join a team of engineers, designers, and testers. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving user satisfaction for the end clients boating, sailing, and angling apps, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded by the mobile and desktop apps.

You will be looking for new ways to push boundaries and innovation, translating user and business requirements into intuitive solutions for seamless experiences between Apps, Wearables, Hardware devices and Web app

The main accountabilities

• Translating product road map features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
• Working with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including analytics, design/user experience, engineering, and user enablement.
• Working in an Agile environment and continuously review the business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks.
• Partnering with stakeholders and users across the organisation to inform the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization.
• Developing, owning, and executing product road map, as required.
• Assisting in defining the user experience for internal/externals users, including support and monitoring.
• Prioritising and maintaining the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders.
• Developing and maintaining appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance to evaluate future investment.

• Expert Knowledge of the product development life cycle and product management processes
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of SAFe Agile portfolio practices
• Product development
• User stories (creation and management)
• Scrum and Agile development methodologies
• JIRA knowledge
• User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design
• Mobile analytics

Knowledge, skills and experience

• At least 5 year’s experience as lead Product Owner
• Strong communication skills
• Organisational and time management skills
• Fluent in English
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of mobile hybrid technologies (JavaScript, React Native, APIs )
• Familiar with JIRA and Confluence
